I certainly agree that the starters have done their part and they were certainly my biggest concern going into the season. It is clearly the offense that has napped in each of their losses. That is not something we believed would be an issue this year, and there have been some good signs of offense (Alonso, Torrens, Marte, Soto and Nimmo). There are still too many other starters stinking up the joint but with only six games in the book I can show some patience.
The slider didn't work for me. But I liked how you could sort the columns. The current starters are going to have to get it done as it doesn't look like Manaea is coming back anytime soon.
Right now everyone is basically fresh, so the story is a little less of a concern. the main issue happens after theres some wear and heaviness on the arms and they have back to back long relief games so the pen gets tired. Last night was already close to that. Bringing out Brazoban was clearly not what Mendoza had in mind. happy for the day off today, but it sure would be nice to see more innings coming from the starters.
Going into the season I expected the starting rotation to be better than last year's. They were 19th in fWAR and 12th in ERA in 2024. One time through the rotation, they exceeded my expectations. And without Manaea! Maybe they can build off of this foundation. As for the relievers, they are better then starters. Last year they were 17th in ERA and 13th in fWAR. It appears (and it is expected, that the relievers are better this year.

Thanks for letting me know about the slider. There's nothing I can do to make it work but I'll try not to make large tables going forward.

Too early to draw conclusions, but it's great that the rotation is 8th in MLB in ERA.
Surprising that RP have such a low K/9, but that ought to even out over the season, too.
If only we could get Lindor to show up in April and May each year...
