A little over a year ago, Lindor led a clubhouse meeting that catalyzed the ‘24 season turnaround. Tonight was a perfect bookend with his clutch game-winner. Plus the second game of the last week with major contributions from each of the big three. ICYMI, take a look at the Syracuse score tonight. I don’t want to spoil it if you’ve not seen it.

Gut Reaction: Lindor is " the straw that stirs the drink" for the Mets. Another clutch hit. It was a exhilarating win. Alonso increased his MLB leading RBI total. Senga diminished his NL leading ERA. The Mets increased their NL leading winning percentage. Soto and Marte are hot. In the 9th inning Alvarez, Acuna, Baty and Mauricio were playing at the same time. Life is good. Have another drink at the pool!

Nice win for the Mets in a must win game against a team having an absolute horrible season. Who would have thought that teams would strive to pass the old loss record held by the Mets for 60 plus years before the White Sox claimed that designation. Big hit by Lindor on a broken toe. Anyone still think the Mets should have passed on Alonso? Keep waiting for the RISP debacle to hurt them more but their pitching has kept them in it all season. They’d be ten games up if they could knock in easy to score runs. Need a little more small ball in their lives. Nice comment Metsense about all the baby Mets in the lineup. Now if they’d only hit at the same time!

It was awesome when Willis Kirk Reed Gibson Lindor came off the bench and doubled on one foot.

Pete Alonso is a legit MVP candidate this season and I hope fans will say not so fast to the assumption that Freddie freeman is the all star starter.

Senga is obviously pitching great but to the eye test he hasn't even looked that dominating. If he stays healthy I think he s in for a spectacular 2nd half.

Freeman’s been on the IL and has 60 fewer PA than Alonso. And he’s playing on a bad ankle. Despite that, he holds a slim lead in fWAR, 2.7 to 2.4
