Wow,McaNeil having a good season, Be nice if one more hitter could step up and then acquire another in a trade. 7 hitters would make me a lotmorecomfortable than 5.

Today it was once again shown why McNeil should be in the lineup everyday - somewhere. He plays a decent CF and the reasons for not playing him there at least four days a week are trash. Looking at what other teams have in CF, and their OAA, it is hard to see how McNeil is so unplayable when Nimmo played there flawlessly for a couple of years while playing rather deep.

As Vientos tries to be the sixth cog in the lineup, the other three spots can be filled with some combination of what’s left.

The Mets beat the Yankees today with their AAA pitchers pitching 2/3 of thw game. That is some 4th of July present. Let’s see how the major leaguers do now.

Gut Reaction: Jeff McNeil delivered a clutch two out late inning homerun. He should be playing everyday with his .836 OPS. That's more than 150 points than Baty, Mauricio, Vientos and Taylor. Soto had another three hit game and his first inning homerun said that they weren't going to lay down. Maybe Braz0 and Garrett just had a hiccup and pitched well going forward. I hope so. One more win for the series win.

Great comeback win! With Hagenman starting and immediately giving up 2 homers, I was preparing myself for a Yankee blowout of our Mets, but no! Soto and McNeil came through—and have been tremendous for a while (along with Nimmo), and Baty might be the real deal (although the jury is still out on him). And, yes, the relievers made adjustments and came through in the clutch for our beloved team!

Just s super enjoyable baseball game. Another lineup shuffle this time moving Lindor to the 2 hole seems to have done the trick again. Nimmo has been on fire for a while.

Everytime I see a reliever (or 2 or 3) go through a stretch like Reed and Brazoban have i am comforted by Brian s well proven hypothesis that every reliever goes through a 6 week stretch like that at some pt. Looks like they might be out of it now.
