I have no issue with your basic comparative projections in this buy one get one article. If you get 24 HR from the CF spot from a batter hitting near the end of the lineup, that’s pretty darn good. Still hard to accept a starter hitting .210 which means more outs, less moving runners up and ultimately less times on base for someone to drive you in. If you are Schwarber hitting 38 HR it’s easier to accept but they don’t have that. This to me points to a fundamental issue of needing to rely on two players to cover one position but does not project as well as one solid addition in CF. Cost aside they would have been better served with a Bellinger addition and would benefit from his all around game - of course he’d have to be healthy. Your cumulatively projected at bats leaves me to believe that Taylor will also get time in the other two OF positions, which scares me because they need Nimmo and Soto playing nearly everyday. And neither is strong enough at the plate to sub in as the DH. Hoping that each player grabs this opportunity to play and contribute and play above the backs of their baseball cards.
Taylor has been a consistent average MLB player in his six years. That is why I like him as a starter for the majority of the games. He isn't a hole in the lineup and he isn't a liability for the defense.
Siri as a bench player is an elite defensive centerfielder and should be used as a defensive replacement, power pinch hitter and a pinch runner. He should get some starts in centerfield but he has a problem with consistent contact.

Hitting Lab helps Siri a bit. My predictions: Siri – 430 PA, .230/.300/.450, 22 HR
Taylor gets playing time in LF as well as CF. My predictions: Taylor – 390 PA, .253/.310/.415, 13 HR

Taylor 408 PA, 241/288/423/711, 10 HR
Siri 322 PA, 209/267/398/665, 14 HR
I can take either. They both may play at the beginning of the season if Nimmo plays DH because of his injury.
