Good list. I like your categories and agree to very large extent but don’t follow lower minors like you and David do. So, as I am unencumbered by data, I will say that I have higher hopes for Gilbert and Tong and less so for Clifford. I appreciate how you are able to point out the shortcomings in Acuna’s hitting performance is new and creative ways. It’s mind-boggling how much ink he gets as a future 2B. He’s going to be a faster, lighter hitting version of Luis G.

Thanks Bull.

We know that not all prospects are going to pan out. If the Mets hit on Benge, Sproat and Williams, I won't feel bad about Acuna, Gilbert and Tong not hitting their upside.

Who plays center in the future Benge or Williams?

The dream scenario is Benge in CF and Williams at 2B. But my guess is that the chance of Benge being able to play center is in single digits.

Agree on categorization, particularly on the top guys!

And why do the Mets sometimes waste #1 picks on guys like Colin Houck? Especially remembering Gavin Cecchini! Benge and Williams seem to be recent good ones, however.

It’s always risky predicting how teenagers are going to turn out. When the Mets took Houck, many viewed it as a steal, as he was expected to go earlier than he did.
