Houck promoted to Brooklyn. Nothing yet on any of the Brooklyn guys going to Binghamton.

Edit: Benge going to AA

With Houck in Advanced A, they now have move Reimer onto AA ASAP as well because Houck needs to play every day and that infield is overloaded with talent.

Kudos to Stearns for sending Alvarez down. It was long overdue as he looks lost at the plate. Yes, it was his defense that had the team concerns not his offense. That has clearly flipped. Torrens deserves the starts and as long as he stays healthy, they can live with Heyden Senger sitting on the bench in case he is needed. Alvarez is only about a 4 hour car ride away from getting to Citi Field if needed. Seems Alvarez might have more company in Syracuse if their mish mosh of infielders can't hit better than they are currently doing.

Thanks as always for the minor league update. Hoping one of those AAA Met pitchers can be ready to step up soon. that their minor league teams are doing well always seems to bode well for the big team.

In better news, we sent Luisangel Acuna down.

Good take on the Alvarez situation, David. Acuna was way past due to be demoted. Maurico is next when Vientos is ready. Those three players will get some much needed at bats in the minors instead of crippling the major league batting order. I'm glad that Benge got promoted. Williams and Tong should be in Syracuse .

Maybe once Manaea is back in Queens the Mets will promote Tong to the AAA rotation. I have no idea what Williams is doing in AA.

When will a Baby Met break through?I,m betting Vientos even though technically he’s not a baby Met. Be nice if two came through.

If Tong and McLean are the real deal (and Smith makes it back), the Mets' rotation will be good for quite a while.
