basically the line of least resistance is cash, even if they means more years/$ than youd hope. The trade route and the posting route are inherently out of control for the Mets that both could fail easily.

All of the above.

Sign Snell for 3 yrs

Trade 2 top 10 prospects for Crochett

Go hard after Sasaki

My opinion is that it's going to take more than two top 10 prospects to get Crochet. I think it starts with Jett Williams and Baty and maybe takes Clifford and a lottery ticket pitcher.

Love your thinking, but I move Sasaki to #1, Snell #2.

Everyone says that the Mets don’t have money left, and that’s true, but they have NYC advertising which will be much more than the contract. Then, Sasaki only has four years as a professional and needs six to qualify as a free agent. What if he only signs for two years?

Sasaki will not be a Met. He will be a Dodger.

I don't know where Sasaki will go. I'd love it to be the Mets but I would highly doubt it.

I should have been clearer - headlined by 2 top 10 prospects. I think Baty, Clifford, Jeremy Rodriguez and Blade Tidwell or Nolan McLean might do it. Or perhaps McNeil with contract paid down.

Reading Mike Puma’s article, I don’t think it will take too much more, the White Sox are on the record saying they don’t want pitching. The reasons it shouldn’t take much more is Crochet’s track record for getting injured is greater than his track record for pitching. It’s why he wants an extension ASAP and why the White Sox want to trade him so much. Too, he pitched very sparsely in the second half. Can you take the handcuffs off with any confidence? So, I like the thought, but I prefer free agents first that have a track record.
