To Rick - Please stop word vomiting on my posts. Please post like the old Twitter - 140 characters or fewer. Any post of yours longer than that will be deleted.

Word vomiting what a great description. I see his name and I don't read anything else.

To me the difference between Baty last year and Acuna now is the speed and defense Acuna brings.

Because of the fact that you are a prima donna and sensitive bully, I am nearly certain that you will delete this post, and I am 100% certain that I will never ever post in your personal universe

I have observed you bully so many people on this site. You can proceed with perpetuating your self-delusion and claim that you don't, but anyone who has followed this site is acutely aware of it, unless they are your co-delusionists

What I didn't express in my penultimate post is that some of your opinionated readers are merely too intellectually deficient to understand my points

And another thing you can't appreciate is that I am considered a fantastic teacher.

I would never challenge a student's intelligence or tell them that if they don't understand, then it's their fault. I clearly inform them that if they don't understand, then it's mostly my fault. This is because I take my responsibilities seriously. But given the bloviating dispositions of certain people here, I would strongly urge them to look in the mirror for their lack of understanding

Finally, as for your preposterous assertion that my comments are issues that have been clearly defined ten years ago, or what ever the bleep you actually posted, I counter that if these issues had been properly defined and extensively discussed, then I clearly would not have posted what I did. And if you disagree, then I add you to the list of the intellectually deficient. And you have clearly shown you are incapable of making a valid counterargument

It'll be a great day when you stop making 259-word posts on my site. May the certainty you claim in the first graph actually come to fruition.

Took me a bit but I finally placed what this sounds like - Fredo Corleone!

"I can handle things! I'm smart! Not like everyone says ... like dumb ... I'm smart and I want respect!"

Fair enough about the speed and defense. He can stay for those two things, as long as he doesn't get more than a start or two per month.

Diaz appears to be back to his good self and the Mets certainly need that given how many outs the bullpen must get basically every game. I like that he is using his fast ball which can’t be that easy to hit at close to 100 miles an hour and then mixing it in with the slider, and holding off on using a slider when everybody knows it’s not going to be a strike.

It’s a long season so it will be interesting to see how well Alonzo can keep up hitting and if McNeil can keep contributing. I have no issue playing McNeil in centerfield to give Taylor a day off, but with the way Taylor plays in the field, it’s hard to give him a day off.

I think in your article Bryan you almost suggested that Marte get more at bats. If I did not read that incorrectly, I think we need an intervention, especially knowing how you feel about that player.

It would just be dandy to take the series today from the Yankees and will be home in time to watch it, which makes me even happier.

I try to be open minded and it’s not unreasonable to believe that Marte just needs more playing time. Most times, I want to cut him yesterday. But there’s also the possibility that - much like with Baty - that Acuna would benefit from 200 or more PA in Triple-A where he had success. So, maybe Marte should be cut at the first opportunity. Or maybe it should be Acuna, instead.

All fair. And we certainly root for Marte when he’s in the lineup. And look for him to steal a bag because he’s almost the only other real base runner we have.

Calling my posts word vomit is truly preposterous and seems rather unnecessarily insulting. A more rational assessment is my trying to explain my point as well as I can. You may have figured out that composing prose is not my among my best skills

In any case, it would have useful to know about your 140 word limit - I am extremely proud of the fact that I have lived a sufficiently meaningful life in that I have never wasted even 1 word on twitter

As for those who are immediately in agreement with you, I am quite capable of being extremely obnoxious in retribution, but I won't do it.

I state this because the health and longevity of Mets360 is far more important than my feelings

You need not concern yourself with the length of any subsequent posts

Just so we’re clear – this site does not exist for you to post hundreds of words trying to wrap your head around concepts that were developed, tested and proven a decade or more ago.

Diaz hasn't given up an ER in his 8 games. That's a good closer does and Diaz is an elite closer. He is top relief pitcher for salary so how much more can he get free agency? Is it worth the stress? Maybe he could examine an extension instead. ( but let's see where he is in October)

McNeil has been impressive with the bat, 797 OPS, without any luck. With his start, he should be playingd every day.

Braz0 because zero (0) runs score when a pitches.

Taylor is a bench 4th outfielder but there isn't a CF to displaced him now. Acuna is a bench utility and his speed makes him valuable for the major league team. There is no in the minor legues ready to replace him now. Marte's playing time should be reduce. I don't think he will last through the summer. Azocar doesn't serve a purpose. At least Senger could sit on the bench and free up Torrens for pinch hitting duty.

Taylor got off to a horrible start, perhaps influenced by the awkward time share with Siri. But now that Siri's out of the picture, things have turned around. In his last 86 PA, Taylor has a .273/.333/.442 line for a .775 OPS. Last year in his final 229 PA, Taylor had a .763 OPS.

The average MLB center fielder this year has a .702 OPS. The hits are falling in for Taylor, so maybe he's not as good as he's been recently. But I feel like he's a competent starting CF and better than a fourth outfielder.

Brian, on a recent podcast, you mentioned that you do not like BABIP and preferred something else. Was it simply a different acronym or a different measurement entirely? Acuna made the last run look easy with his speed, but I think Keith might have scored from third with how badly Bellinger set himself up. No momentum. Acuna is nothing if not streaky and I hope Mendy keeps him to late inning pinch running and defense. When Winker and Siri come back, he’ll be back in Syracuse being bored if he doesn’t go on another tear. I am pulling for him, but the numbers won’t lie. I like the Brazo nickname too. As in Steve Martin’s character in Only Murders in the Building.

Nope, I never said that. In fact, I'm a huge proponent of BABIP and I think it's something that should be in the average fan's lexicon. It was very disappointing that when B-R revamped their pages that they didn't put BABIP in a more-prominent spot. I've never once wondered what someone's Rbat+ is and my opinion is that B-R giving valuable real estate to that over BABIP was a giant mistake.

OK. I thought maybe you were using a different acronym.

I remember what happened. Joe Vasile said BABIP as a word -- BaBip and I told him I hated that pronunciation. It sounds like something from a Disney movie. I prefer just saying balls in play
