I wonder if someone out there is putting in a graph the “improvements” some of these pitchers make as shuttle again and again into the middle season. Is there a pitching lab, instructions from Hefner’s team to the Syracuse coaches of what very specifics these new signees should work on in AAA? Monitoring remotely? Is this any different than any other organization? Regardless of standard practice or not. For some of these relievers there has been significant improvement?

Happy to win the series especially beating Rodon on Saturday, and yes this game was defined by two timely double plays by the Yankee D. Tired of seeing nobodies run out there to pitch. This falls on Stearns for not having better relievers and hoping that the Met magic continues with whomever they trot out there. Yes, the staff has been decimated but that’s when you bring up a McLean or Sproat or Tong to throw a few innings not Pop goes the weasel. If he was any good he would not have been released by another organization. On to the lowly Orioles and another chance to win a series.

Mets need to call up Alex Carrillo. Stop messing with the Zach Pops of the world.

Five pitchers in their bullpen are scrubs, Lovelady, Garcia, Devenski, Pop and Waddell. Thats not what you expect for a playoff team. Plus Mr Walk, Brazoban. If we want to win we need bullpen arms and a center fielder. I dont say starter, because we will get Senga and Manaea back, but with them coming back from injuries and Holmes potentially running out of gas, we need a better bullpen. And I dont mean the 24 hour pitching experiments.
