Will he pressure himself in another "walk year"? Probably.

My projections: 655 PA, .235/.325/.470, 37 HR

Im with you on this one Steve. If he isnt so great (but better than Winker at first) we will have him for two years.

That's OK, and then hopefully Clifford will be ready and able to take over at 1B!

I'll put myself out there predicting Pete will bounce back and will have a monster year hitting between Soto and Vientos.

Yes, I am looking for a bounce back from Alonso as long as he figures out how not to swing at the low and outside pitch.

Also looking for him to have 125 RBI. Thinking Vientos might meander his way to the number three hole if he starts off like he ended last year. Seems he has earned more at bats then hitting lower in the order. Don’t see Nimmo hitting cleanup as some think and so much will be better if Alvarez comes out swinging like 2023. If he does Nimmo might slide to 6th in the order. Now that’s a pretty long lineup!!

Maybe with his speed and a bunch of infield hits, he can hit .400

I don't think the $30 million dollar man will not equal or exceed fWar value of 3.7. I expect and Improvement to last year's version of 2.1 fWAR but not exceed his 2023 season of 2.8 fWAR

PA 685, 241/332/485, HR 39

Last year Paulc predicted the closest 675 PA. Footballhead scored a touchdown with an exact 240 BA !. He was kicked the extra point by predicting OPS by only missing it by .004. Alonso bottomed out with his slugging percentage last year 459. Metsense had predicted the lowest number at 511. Mike W had the lowest home run total at 38 and Alonso only had 34. Congratulations to all of the "Carnac the Magnificent" wannabes.
